Komodo Gear, the manufacturer and distributor of the Komodo brand of motorcycle leather and apparel, was founded in 2004 by Lee and Wayne. The creation of Komodo was born out of necessity; to provide better products and services direct to riders. Komodo is focused on providing world class safety apparel for road racing, drag racing, track days and street riders. Komodo Gear is also a virtual distributor for other manufacturers who choose to be "Defiantly Different". Providing customers with personal attention and high quality products direct from the manufacturer is our commitment to the motorcycle community.
Trackside - Komodo Gear has a strong history participating trackside at many motorcycle riding events. In road racing, Komodo has a large focus on the privateer market simply because this is where the riders are grooming their skills and testing equipment. The same is true for drag racing; being trackside at the races allows Komodo to work closely with riders for development and provide needed support services. Then you have the street market; this is a core market that continues to grow and expand into new territories. Being trackside at events is truly rewarding as having input “direct” from the riders who use our product provides invaluable information and allows our customers to benefit.
Race Proven - Through direct participation in racing, Komodo is able to introduce new product innovations into the culture of motorcycling from the input we receive from riders. Like any testing environment, direct feedback from the riders at the track is transferred at “the moment of truth”, which is critical to Komodo’s product development. Innovation and product refinement enables Komodo to remain current in our development and be relevant to riders and customers.
Street Smart - Komdo Gear created the term, "Defiantly Different" because of our unique nature. Komodo is "Factory Direct' to our customers, which means we eliminated the middle man and lowered all of our costs to ensure that our customers get the best quality, price and service possible!
